Nuestra primera pieza de concierto: Romance. Una pieza hecha famosa por el guitarrista español Narciso Yepes, que la grabó como parte de la banda sonora "Juegos Prohibidos"....Fue el primer gran clásico de guitarra lanzado por una película... el último que se me ocurre es Cavatina de Stanley Myers.

Para tocar Romance, primero vamos a darle atencion a nuestra mano derecha (la responsable de la fabricación del sonido... literalmente). La mano derecha (de ahora en adelante MD) estará tocando un arpegio.

arpeggio= cuando las notas de un acorde se tocan en sucesión y no simultáneamente

Usa un afinador de guitarra para afinar. Tus oidos siempre te sirven para verificaciones.

Romance se basa en un arpegio. El modelo del arpegio durante la pieza no cambiará y tiene dos partes.

Trabaja el modelo y entrena a tu mano derecha. No toques más rápido de lo neesario. Si te estás equivocando, estás tocando demasiado rápido. Nadie te apura. Concéntrate en el sonido y simplemente asegúrate de que cada cuerda esté proyectando el sonido que deseas escuchar. Practica este modelo 3 minutos por vez. Luego descansa y repite por otros tres. Haz esto un total de 3 veces en tu primera sesión de práctica.

Finger 2 moves from the A to the G (portamento, marked by the line bonding the 2 notes). The key here is to achieve the position change with the left arm. Watch the video closely and notice how the hand presentation over the strings remains the same while the position on the fingerboard changes. Forget the rest stroke! It is primitive. Rest stroke is a special effect, not a way to play 50% of the notes in a piece. The way you make a note stand out is by means of fijación. The main melody in Romance is the highest notes of the arpeggio. Use different degrees of fijación to bring the melody out. The exercise and all its combination must be a part of your daily practice.
